Introducing, IPA by Synergie

Today, July 1st 2024, IPA will formally be known as IPA by Synergie. The start of this financial year begins a new chapter in our corporate journey and stewardship, as we begin to operate as a global recruitment firm underneath Synergie in France, and directed by John Alexandrou and Mike Otty from Synaco by Synergie.

Since becoming part of genU in 2016, IPA has been able to source new avenues for growth and create an impact in the community. It’s now time to allow IPA to spread our wings within a multinational specialist company with greater reach, and deeper expertise and experience in the recruitment sector.

Synaco by Synergie is part of a 55-year-old worldwide organisation. Synergie is an international group, incorporated in France, providing companies and institutions with global human resources management and development services: recruitment, temporary employment, training and consultancy. Ranked seventh among the industry leaders in Europe, Synergie has more than 5,000 employees throughout 17 countries.

It has been active in the Australian market since 2012. While backed by a multinational presence, Synaco operates locally at heart. It is a leading recruitment agency specialising in labour hire in a multitude of industry sectors including manufacturing, logistics, defence and technology, construction, mining and resources. The foundation of their success lies in strong, long-lasting relationships, fostering the culture of a local mindset with global support.

During the last few months, IPA leadership has been creating new strategies to direct the business forward in a Synaco and Synergie world. In early June, Synergie’s International Development Director Jérôme Lucet visited Melbourne and Sydney to begin engaging with the wider IPA and Synaco businesses.

Jérôme acknowledged that the trip was incredibly important given that, with IPA’s revenue contribution, the Synergie group is now firmly within the list of the top 20 biggest recruitment firms in Australia. The acquisition has also positioned Australia as 5th in turnover of country contributions for Synergie’s international portfolio. A huge accomplishment, and one that will only grow larger over the coming years. 

It is a testimony of the group’s (Synergie Global) confidence in the Australian market and on our appetite to be ‘big’ down under. Our ambition is to be one of the key players in the Australian market. It means to act as a responsible company, to positively impact people’s life at work, and then to be aligned with Synergie Group CSR commitments. Synaco, IPA, Synergie.
