ABOUT THE ROLE

The Continuous Improvement Manager is a crucial role within the Supply Chain leadership team. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving the continuous improvement agenda whilst fostering a culture of excellence. Supported by Supply Chain Analytics, you will make recommendations on business and department strategies, identify opportunities to improve business performance, and drive both internal and external growth. In this role you are:
  • responsible for analysing and identifying cost optimization opportunities.
  • working with relevant stakeholders to implement process improvement – change the ways of working and operations-developing cost-saving benefits.
  • lead and implement approved continuous improvement efforts identified by specific sites, companies, DC managers, sales team, and customers.
As the Continuous Improvement manager, you will foster partnerships with all external 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) providers, you will be responsible for driving their performance against KPIs, developing relationships, exploring potential 3PL expansion, and contributing to the company’s growth strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the Supply Chain and drive growth for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and coordinate a wide variety of identified and approved initiatives and projects designed to improve processes and performance in all areas of the business, as well as supporting new ventures and customer solutions.
  • Lead the implementation and sustainability of Lean Practices across the Supply Chain
  • Hands on involvement to prove process concepts and implementation of improvement activities.
  • Lead and Manage studies in cost, quality, productivity, flow, safety, and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and recommend location specific company-wide improvement initiatives and opportunities.
  • Communicating project objectives and progress at Executive level, demonstrating traction being achieved
  • Analyse data to identify cost saving opportunities, as well as leading Process Improvement initiatives.
  • Working Cross Functionally to influence change and realise cost savings.
  • Manage all 3PL partnerships to ensure best in class performance for the company and the company’s customers.
ABOUT YOU
  • You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:
  • Ability to communicate to and influence key stakeholders.
  • Supply Chain knowledge and experience managing teams and influencing a large group of employees in one location.
  • Understanding the drivers of Supply Chain costs
  • Previous experience in managing teams; as well as influencing a large group of employees in one location.
  • Strong Analytical background with ability to use Excel to a very high level; PowerBI and understand the use of a Warehouse Management System.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement Lean practices
  • Understanding of Project Management principles
