Customer Service Coordinator

Our client has been at the forefront of selling, renting, and servicing heavy machinery equipment and tools in the construction and mining industry for over 90 years, and they are currently looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join their Customer Service Team in their rental division. This is a temp assignment to start ASAP for six months. Working Monday to Friday, working a 7.5-hour day, working on rotating roster between 7am – 5pm. The role will be based at the clients Sunshine West (Parking onsite), and the role is paying $36.51 + Super.

Reporting into the Branch Manager, the purpose of the role is to effectively coordinate rental logistics with customers and assist with the inbound and outbound calls to and from customers, as well as ensuring administrative tasks meet and exceed business requirements. The tasks you do in the role will lead to increase customer engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction as well as delivering rental revenue growth.

Some of your other duties and responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Customer Service – growing relationships with an ever-expanding customer base, both in person and over the phone
  • Directly liaising with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Identifying and meeting customer equipment requirements
  • Coordinating equipment standards and logistics
  • Managing rental agreements
  • Managing machine preparation, delivery, and transport

To be successful for this role you will have worked in a previous Customer Service Role, managing inbound and outbound calls, have a true passion for Customer Service, and want to go above and beyond for a client. Previous exposure to the construction, heavy machinery or mining industries would be an advantage. You will be someone that is enthusiastic, friendly, likes to work in a team and enjoys building relationships with internal and external customers. Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills are a must, and you must have good attention to detail and be able to think on your feet. Strong computer literacy is important and the ability to pick up and learn new systems.
