About the role:

Based in Bundaberg our client requires a qualified diesel fitter or mechanical fitter to work as part of a team.

Objectives:

  • To carry out a service and maintenance program and fault diagnostic service for plant and machinery as required.
  • Ensure safe work methods, practices, and conditions always while working on or operating plant and machinery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Any other duties as delegated within the level of responsibility.

Responsibilities:
  • To diagnose, service and maintain our client’s plant and machinery as necessary to required standards, maintain records, and ensure compliance to policy and procedures

Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in the servicing and maintenance of a variety of trucks, heavy plant, and machinery.
  • Demonstrated fault diagnostic skills within a workshop and field environment, including the use of machine management software operations.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and fault diagnostics of machinery hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to diagonise the Automotive electrical system.
  • Ability to maintain records and use of computer systems for the effective functioning of the workshop.
  • Strong understanding of WHS and good safety attitude

    Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in diesel fitting, heavy commercial vehicle, or mechanics or equivalent

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Construction Industry White/Blue card.
  • Forklift licence desirable.
  • Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence or above that is current and maintained. Desirable HR
