Field Maintenance Representative

IPA are recruiting an experienced Field Maintenance Representative for an established Australian company with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Our client specializes in providing carpet care solutions and operate a robust distribution system catering to major hardware and supermarket retailers nationwide.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Field Maintenance Representative. This position is based in the Townsville to Mackay area, with responsibilities covering Central to North Queensland, including locations from Rockhampton up to Cairns. The role will necessitate occasional overnight stays, typically on a quarterly basis, and offers significant autonomy within our Queensland team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular service and maintenance of our hire machines in accordance with company standards at supermarkets and hardware stores.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct merchandising and sales activities within stores.
  • Efficiently prioritize workload and respond to service calls within designated timeframes, utilizing company-provided iPad.
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal team members to fulfill job requirements effectively.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Preferred field experience, with previous experience in maintaining small business equipment considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated handyman skills would be beneficial.
  • Attributes of honesty, reliability, and proactive nature, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Self-starter mentality, physically fit, and eager to learn about the industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in operating an iPad.
  • Possession of a full Australian driving license and a National Police certificate.
  • Completion of a pre-employment medical check will be required.
