The Opportunity

Enjoy a competitive salary package in the range of $100,000 – $120,000/year, with the opportunity for additional days and hours if desired.

Working 12 hours shifts on a 5/4/4/5 rotating between days and nights

Responsibilities include:
  • Performing planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Completing hydraulic and other services when needed.
  • Conducting mechanical checks, such as lubrication and air supply.
  • Operating boilers as required.
  • Conducting boiler water tests.
  • Ensuring maintenance of all plant equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Regularly reporting on the condition status of various equipment and machinery.
  • Mentoring, training, and supervising apprentices at all stages.
Desired Experience:
  • Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or higher/equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as a fitter or equivalent.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality control.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and stainless TIG welding is an advantage as well as previous experience in FMCG.
  • Ability to work safely with limited supervision.
  • Prior experience supervising apprentices is favoured, but not essential.
