Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator

Our client is the largest provider of healthcare services across the most northern remote areas of Queensland. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, to join their team, provide expert advice and to implement proactive systems to prevent work-related injuries to their staff, volunteers and contractors.

What’s on offer?

Initial contract until 30 June 2024, with a plan to roll out a more permanent position in the new financial year.

Initially offered in a full-time hours casual capacity, Monday to Friday.

Salary range AO4 $54.34 – $59.59 /hr as a Casual
($3380.20 – $3724.00 per fortnight as a perm employee)

What are we looking for?

The ideal applicant will be someone who can provide:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying occupational health and safety legislative standards and guidelines relevant to a large complex organisation.
  • A thorough understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulations, Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 and associated Acts, Regulations, Standards and policies.
  • The ability to audit, investigate and identify risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client focused solutions.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships using appropriate communication, data analysis and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data analysis methodologies, principles, practices, and ability to undertake research, training, policy development.
  • Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.

The must have’s:

  • 2 years’ experience in a rehabilitation and RTW position
  • C class drivers’ licence
  • Ability to travel in a commercial / light aircraft and 4WD.
  • Ability to remain vaccinated against preventable diseases (measles, mumps, rubella etc)
  • Able to pass a criminal history check.

The nice to have’s:

  • Certificate IV WHS
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in Data Analysis and advanced Microsoft Excel (or similar) capabilities
